This explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be read, not to be impressive. If anything here isn't clear, email lennoncoles@rebootacademy.co.uk and ask.
Who we are
Reboot Academy is run by Lennon Coles as a sole trader, based in the UK.
- Trading name: Reboot Academy
- Address: Lakeside Cafe, Lake Rd, Portishead, Bristol BS20 7JA, United Kingdom
- Contact: lennoncoles@rebootacademy.co.uk
We are the data controller for the information described here, which means we decide what is collected and why.
What we collect, and when
When you take the diagnostic
- Your email address, which you give us at the end to see your result. This is the only thing from the diagnostic that reaches us.
Your individual answers are never sent to us. They're worked out in your browser as you go and are gone the moment you leave the page.
Your result (which foundation scored worst, the four scores, and your email) is saved in your own browser so the results page can show it to you. That sits on your device, not ours, and clearing your browser data removes it.
When you buy Reboot Reset
- Your name and email, taken on the checkout form, and your phone number if we ask for it (we only do where it's needed to get you into the programme).
- A record of your purchase: what you bought, when, and for how much.
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, who take the card information directly. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
When you book your call
- Your name, email and the time you picked, collected by Calendly.
When you join the Full Reboot waitlist
- Your email address, and nothing else.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To show and send your diagnostic result. You asked for it, so we use it to give you what you asked for.
- To deliver Reboot Reset if you buy it. Running the sessions, sending your check-ins, and messaging you about your booking are all part of the contract between us.
- To send you marketing emails about Reboot Academy. This is based on your consent, given when you entered your email. You can withdraw it at any time and we will stop.
- To keep records we have to keep, like proof of sale for tax purposes.
The email you give us for your diagnostic result is the same address we use to email you about Reboot Academy. We told you that at the point you entered it, and we're repeating it here rather than burying it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and unsubscribing does not affect anything you have paid for.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of services to run this. They only process your data to provide their service to us, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- GoHighLevel - hosts these pages, stores your contact record, and sends our emails.
- Stripe - takes payments.
- Calendly - handles call bookings.
- Google Fonts - serves the typefaces this site uses. Loading them means your browser contacts Google's servers, which discloses your IP address to Google.
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred abroad, those providers use the safeguards required by UK data protection law.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies and similar technology
We keep this deliberately minimal.
- Your diagnostic result is stored in your browser so the results page can display it. Without it the page cannot do the one thing you asked it to do, so it is treated as strictly necessary and does not require consent.
- Our provider may set cookies needed to run the site and process payments securely.
- We do not currently run advertising or tracking pixels. If that changes, this page changes first, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- If you took the diagnostic but never bought: we keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- If you bought: we keep your records for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for six years, because tax law requires us to keep records of sales.
- Waitlist emails: until the Full Reboot Programme launches or you ask us to remove you.
What you can do
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Have anything wrong corrected.
- Ask us to delete it, where we do not have to keep it.
- Object to us using it, and to stop marketing at any time.
- Ask us to hand your data to you or someone else in a portable format.
Email lennoncoles@rebootacademy.co.uk and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first and we will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Under 18s
Reboot Reset is sold to over-18s only, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you're under 18 and you've given us your email, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects you, we will email you rather than rely on you noticing.
